I have waited long enough to see this type of sunset once again. I prayed for a nice weather and I held my breath for a long time just to absorbed all the goodness of watching this beautiful sunset in Boracay. Finally, I was back in my “Heimat” after 7 long years.

For me, nothing change, I am still mesmerized, in love, and grateful to see this beauty.

Paraw is our common word for a boat made with bamboo, an outrigger boat with sails or “layag“. In daytime, the sails are azure blue in colors, almost the same as the turquoise colored waters of Sulu sea in Boracay island. At dusk, they are like magical sails that transports you to another world. In a span of 15-20 minutes, given with a clear blue skies, I felt like being in another world again. I have missed tropical sunsets like this.

Boracay is world famous for its fine sands and my daughter is totally in love with this island. It´s my 3rd time visit in this island and still, it´s a special place for me. I´ve always looked forward watching sunsets, sunrises and just gazing at the infinite waves.It is a place I would always go back to. It is really good to be back in the Philippines.

Undescribable, the beauty of the sunset with the shadows of the “Paraw” sailing in the background is a sight to behold. Everyday, people would just flocked in the shore and wait for this natural display. I don´t know how many photos I´ve taken but then it´s actually not enough to capture the magical changes of colors, shades and the enormous feeling of watching it. A dream come true.

Watching this sunset with my loveones, especialy with my mother whom I haven´t seen for a long time and with my daughter is precious. She just keep on playing in the sand, feeling lost what to do with the waves teasing her, swimming her out out, tumbling here and there, and hearing her laughter and squeking out of happiness is a delight to me. How many times she do sommersault in the waters I can´t count anymore.Perhaps she´s dancing with the Paraw sunset afterall.

I am freezing this moment and holding it close to my heart.
